There are two options for creating assessments: Clone from library and Assessment with custom questions

Clone from Library

Select one or more pre-created assessments from our library.

Assessment with custom questions

Create custom questions and content. Use our rich editor to design writing assessments, including essay writing and describe-an-image questions. Follow these steps to begin the process:

Select Avatar

Choose an avatar for the assessment. Click the Play button next to an avatar to hear how it sounds. Test creators can also select the language of the avatar that best matches their assessment needs from the dropdown menu.

Select Rubrics

Choose up to six rubrics to evaluate the assessment. At the end of the assessment, test takers will see scores based on the selected rubrics.

Add Questions

To add custom questions, click inside any question field and pick the preferred question type from the available options. Then, set up the specific settings for that question.

Once a question has been added and its settings have been configured, it will look like the example in the image below.

Up to 10 questions of different types can be added. If a test creator needs to add more than 10 questions, they can contact support at contact@speechace.com to request a limit extension.

Configure assessment Settings

Give the assessment a name, adjust settings as needed, and then click Submit.

Now, it's time to share the assessment with test takers so they can complete it. 🎯
