Group Maximum Scores

There are times when you have questions of varying difficulty level in an assessment. In such cases you can specify the maximum score that should be awarded for each question. A group's maximum score is automatically applied to all questions in the group.

To apply maximum score on a group, turn on the Set per group max score setting as shown below:

Let us consider an example to illustrate the application of maximum scores to groups of questions.

Test creator has created two groups of questions: Pronunciation group and Fluency group with maximum scores of 9.0 and 5.5 respectively, as shown in the image below.

With the Pronunciation group having a maximum score of 9.0 and the Fluency group having a maximum score of 5.5, the Aggregate Max Score is determined by averaging the maximum scores of all selected questions. For this specific example, the Aggregate Max Score comes to be 7.8.
