# Roleplay test
The first page a test taker sees when starting a Roleplay assessment is the **Begin Test** screen.

Note: Depending upon the browser, the test taker may see a **Play** button instead. In that case, the test taker should click on the Play button to play the welcome message.

Once the test taker is ready to begin the roleplay assessment and has read the instructions and identified the skills they will be assessed on, they should click **Begin**.
The test taker will see an introductory prompt from the AI asking if the test taker is ready to begin. At this prompt, the test taker must respond using the response method configured for the assessment. If the response method is **voice recording**, the test taker should click the microphone button and record a short response. If the response method is **text**, the test taker should type a short response.
Once the test taker submits their response, the AI proceeds to the first roleplay interaction, as shown below:
The test taker should respond using the configured response method. After each response is submitted, the AI presents the next interaction. This process continues until the roleplay ends in one of two ways: the conversation concludes naturally, or the timer expires. In either case, the test taker will be shown a completion message, along with their scores. This indicates that the assessment is complete, and the test taker can close the window to exit the assessment.
