# Test taker guide

### Pre-requisites

Test taker must ensure the following:

1. Access the test from a device that is no more than 3 years old.
2. Access the test from a device with an up to date Android, iOS, Mac or Windows operating system that is currently supported by the OS vendor.
3. Access the test on a network that does not have a firewall. The firewall can be there if you are accessing the test from countries such as China. Firewall can also be there if you are accessing the test from a corporate network.
4. Access the test on a network that is at least Fast 3G (1.44Mbps) and above.

### Accessing the test

A test taker can be invited to take the Speechace test in 2 ways:

#### a. Shared link

A teacher or test manager may share a test link similar to the one below:

[https://speak.speechace.co/placement/p/z4e6v9/courses/1527?invitation=9874947-62f9-12fb-ac0d-edae3a9ec79](https://speak.speechace.co/placement/p/sl6eqv9/courses/1527?invitation=07104947-62f9-45fb-bc0c-edab3abdc079)

#### b. Email invitation

A teacher or test manager may share an invitation to the test via an email as below:

\
Candidate should start the test by either clicking on the shared link or the **Blue** button in the email. When the link or the button is clicked, candidate will see the following Create an Account modal:

\
If the candidate does not have an account then they should create a new account. However if candidate already has an account then they should click on the Login button as shown below and login using their username and password as below:

{% hint style="info" %}
**Important:** Note that if candidate is using the [Invitation Email](#b.-email-invitation) then they must either create a new account or login with an account that has same the email where the invitation was sent. If the candidate uses an account that has an email which is different from the one where the invitation was received then they will see an access denied message.
{% endhint %}

\
Note that if the candidate already has an account and they click on the [Invitation Email](#b.-email-invitation) then the system will automatically populate their username in the login modal as below:

\
In this case, candidate must not change the Username and simply type in their password.
