  2. Access the test from a device with an up to date Android, iOS, Mac or Windows operating system that is currently supported by the OS vendor.

b. Email invitation

A teacher or test manager may share an invitation to the test via an email as below:

Candidate should start the test by either clicking on the shared link or the Blue button in the email. When the link or the button is clicked, candidate will see the following Create an Account modal:

If the candidate does not have an account then they should create a new account. However if candidate already has an account then they should click on the Login button as shown below and login using their username and password as below:

Important: Note that if candidate is using the Invitation Email then they must either create a new account or login with an account that has same the email where the invitation was sent. If the candidate uses an account that has an email which is different from the one where the invitation was received then they will see an access denied message.

Note that if the candidate already has an account and they click on the Invitation Email then the system will automatically populate their username in the login modal as below:

In this case, candidate must not change the Username and simply type in their password.

Taking the test

Once the candidate is logged in, they will see an avatar video with a welcome message and Begin button:

Note that sometimes, depending upon the browser, candidate may see a Play button instead. In that case, candidate should click on the Play button to play the welcome message.

Once the candidate has heard the welcome message, they should click on the Begin button.

The candidate will then see a prompt to test their microphone. At this prompt, candidate must click the Start Recording button and say the words "Hello how are you?" as shown below:

Important: When the candidate clicks the Start Recording button for the first time, their browser will show them a permission box asking for their permission to give microphone/camera access. Candidate must give this access to the browser or the test will not be able to record the candidate's audio or video.

Warning: If the candidate says anything other than "Hello! how are you?" then they will not be able to proceed. Candidate must say the exact words "Hello! how are you?"

Once the candidate says "Hello! how are you?", they will see a screen where the avatar says that it was able to successfully hear the candidate and will reply back with a Hello message:

Next, the avatar will provide a brief introduction to the test and show a Start Test button as below. Candidate should press the Start Test button to start the test:

Once the Start Test button is pressed, the first question will be presented to the user as follows along with a Preparation timer:

Candidate can exit the Preparation timer by clicking on the Exit Preparation button. Once the Preparation timer completes, candidate will be taken to the recording screen as below:

Candidate should speak their answer on this screen. Once the Recording timer is finished, the candidate will be shown the next question. Alternatively, candidate can stop recording by clicking on the Stop Recording button before the Recording timer expires.

Once all questions are completed, the candidate will see a completion message that indicates that the test is complete. Candidate can now close the window to exit the test.
