The Speechace Speaking Test Report provides test takers with insights into their spoken language proficiency. It includes:
Overall score for selected rubrics
Question-wise scores
Individual scores for Fluency, Pronunciation, Grammar, and Vocabulary per question.
The report also provides detailed feedback on Fluency and Pronunciation, supported by a transcript of the response. In the feedback on Fluency and Pronunciation, the test takers can:
See the rate at which they spoke
See where they paused or hesitated
Check the accuracy of their pronunciation
Listen to the full audio playback of each response
Hear the pronunciation of individual words
View phoneme-level feedback for each word to understand the areas for improvement in pronunciation.
Let us consider a sample report of the test taker to understand the detailed feedback on Fluency and Pronunciation:
Fluency Feedback: The image below shows the test taker’s speaking rate and any pauses or hesitations, along with the full transcript of their response. The play button in the image below can be used to hear the full audio playback of test taker's response.
Pronunciation Feedback: The image below highlights pronunciation accuracy, supported by the transcript. Test takers can playback each word in their response to assess the clarity of their pronunciation and evaluate it at the phoneme level. The phoneme level feedback can be seen in the tooltip in the below image for the word "was". Notice the comparison provided for the phoneme "AA" which sounded like "ER" in the response.
At this time, the Speaking Report does not include detailed feedback on Grammar and Vocabulary, but we are actively working on expanding these areas and plan to include them in a future release.
