# Move an assessment

This functionality allows you to move assessments from one workspace to another to help declutter and better manage your workspace content.

{% hint style="info" %}
Note: Assessments cannot be moved if there are tags applied on test taker results.
{% endhint %}

The test creator can follow the steps below to move an existing assessment directly from the **My Assessments** ta&#x62;**.**

1. Click on **Move**, from the **Ellipsis** (three vertical dots) dropdown as shown below:<br>

   <br>
2. Select the destination workspace where the assessment should be moved and click on **Submit.**<br>

   <br>
3. In following scenarios, the move of an assessment will be restricted:
   1. Movement is restricted if the destination workspace has fewer privileges and does not support the assessment’s question types.
   2. Movement is restricted if the assessment results have tags. Remove the tags to proceed.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://speaking-test-docs.speechace.com/speechace-speaking-test/speechace-workspaces-create-manage-and-share-speaking-assessments/manage-existing-assessments/move-an-assessment.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
